Peerless® Boilers Forms New Department

PB Heat, LLC, manufacturer of residential and commercial, gas and oil-fired boilers recently created a new department at their headquarters in Bally, PA. The new ‘Department of Applied Technology’ will be devoted to researching and developing new heating technology, as well as training for the new products.

David Scearce, most recently Special Project Engineer for Peerless® Boilers was named Director of the newly created department. A Licensed Professional Engineer with a strong background in project management and design engineering, Scearce brings with him over 15 years experience in design, application and sales of boiler and energy systems. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology (NY) with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Scearce was instrumental in developing the Peerless Pinnacle gas and oil-fired condensing boilers – both breakthrough products in the industry.

Joining the new department as “Director of Training” is Gerry Hogan, a former New England area manufacturer’s representative. Beyond new product training, Hogan will also develop and conduct all company training seminars as well as training geared towards Peerless’ large network of manufacturer’s representatives, distributors and contractors. Hogan will also concentrate his efforts on high-efficiency products, global warming issues, government changes, etc. and the influences of these topics on current and new product development. A magna cum laude graduate of Tufts University, Hogan additionally holds several industry licenses and certifications.
